…and an intrepid last-minute cast of dozens who inexplicably volunteered to portray religion, industry, the arts, the sciences, Jupiter, the dancing children of all nations, and Manitoba, among other roles. The Queen of the North would particularly like to thank Quebec, who dropped to his knees and kissed her hand.
NOTES
From The Queen of the North:
The closing sketch was not written by Moebius. It was taken, verbatum, from Class Room Plays from Canadian History by A. M. Stephen, a small and beautifully-bound hardcover published in 1929 by J. M. Dent & Sons LTD. Toronto. Which was, ironically, printed in Great Britain.
Thanks to Louisa Foster who was instrumental in developing the show but unable to perform.
